They have brought back two fan-favorite seafood items, the Flounder Fish Sandwich and the Shrimp Tackle Box, to participate restaurants across the US and Canada, just in time for the season of Lent. And, as a special Valentine’s Day treat, Popeyes is offering a buy one get one free deal for any guest who purchases a sandwich combo through their app or website.
The Flounder Fish Sandwich is available in two mouth-watering varieties, Classic and Spicy. The sandwich features a light and flaky flounder filet marinated in authentic Louisiana herbs and spices, dusted with a southern crispy coating and fried to perfection. The filet is then placed on top of a warm, buttery toasted brioche bun, accompanied by barrel-cured pickles and a choice of Classic Tartar sauce or Spicy Spread.
The Shrimp Tackle Box, which is priced at $6, features eight tender, crispy butterfly shrimp seasoned in Louisiana Herbs and spices, served up crispy in a southern breading. This delicious seafood treat comes with a regular side, a hot buttery biscuit, and Classic Tartar sauce. But if you’re feeling adventurous, you can opt for the Surf and Turf box, which includes four crispy butterfly shrimp, two chicken tenders, a biscuit, and a regular side.
Popeyes recently conducted a survey and found that more than 50% of respondents typically stay in or order takeout on Valentine’s Day, and almost 70% celebrate with their significant other.
